Basketball.

So it is tournament time for our ward basketball team. The only game they has won this season was when the other team forfeited. Haha. Well they won their first tournament game tonight! Haha. Here are a few pictures of their sweet moves.

More art...

Here is some more paintings that I really like. I do enjoy my art history class.

Theodore Gericault, Insane Woman. In the 1800's they started learning of the brain, subconscious, thus figuring out people had mental problems. Gericault was a painter of "insane" people for a book about care for them.

Francisco Goya, Saturn Devouring One of His Children. Sorry, it's a little gory. Story goes that Saturn's children were going to be more powerful than him, so he ate them. Nice guy.

Angelica Kauffmann, Cornelia Presenting Her Children as Her Treasures. The woman sitting is showing the other woman her new jewelry. She asks her what her treasures are and she presents her with her children.

Henry Fuseli, The Nightmare.

Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Grande Odalisque. If you will notice, her left leg doesn't seem to fit right. And her torso is extremely long. I still think it's beautiful.

Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson, Burial of Atala. This young woman pledged to her dying mother that she would remain a virgin. She falls in love the young Native American on the left. She is torn, so she dies of love sickness. :)

Horatio Greenough, George Washington. Neoclassicism. George Washington with the body of a Greek God.

Salem Night

We had a potluck for all the people here that are from Salem, and surrounding areas. It was a lot of fun. There is at least 30 of us here...only 8 or so came. We ate, played Mario Kart, and had a ping pong tournament. It was a lot of fun!
Loooong post, with lots of pictures. What can I say? I love my Salem people!

Miranda, Derek, Erica, Natalie, Amy, Brittany,Jason, Sierra and Me.

True Oregonians, Granola peace.

Just so cool, they don't know what to do with themselves.

Nice pose.
